Emily Cooper

Biography: 

Emily Cooper is a Research Scientist for the Humboldt River Institute. Emily earned her Master of Science in Natural Resources at Humboldt in the Department of Environmental Science and Management in 2017. Her research interests include the biology of pacific salmonids and their instream habitat-density relationships, identifying stream geomorphology and hydraulic processes related to instream habitat, and quantifying riparian health. She enjoys using geospatial and ground-based scientific methods for explaining natural processes and interactions. Emily’s interests include quantifying flow requirements for aquatic organisms in running waters and utilizing that science to inform water resource management.
